You may want to try changing your plugs to get more power. I have tried the Plat plugs, and in domestic motors they don't work out. Just my 2 Cents.

Clean looking Camaro! I was reading your specs details and noticed your car has an Inland Empire driveshaft. They provided me with a custom made aluminum driveshaft for my electric Datsun 1200, and I'm very pleased with the way it handles the 772 ft. lbs. of torque my car's electric motor makes. Nice folks to do business with, and a super quality product. I shaved off 10 lbs. of spinning mass and improved high rpm reliability switching to the aluminum shaft.

How much did you pay for that car. It's sweet but I think you should change out the gears for better track time and top speed.

nice car i have a 5.7 tpi and dont know what it runs in 1/4. what does your car have in it. 13.851 is a good time.

Adam: had stock champion plugs it didn't seem to make any difference.... John W. the driveshaft doesn't seemed to have help me any, but it is a nice piece...... Kevin: Thinking of trying 3.42 gears & in 2000 I over paid for what I thought would be a real fast car... John:..read the whole post, it's pretty detailed... Doing a slow (cash poor) build up

Hello Kyle, kbb.com for used car prices...It kind of depends upon whether you like the car more than having $2000 in the bank...If this car is a factory '89 RS then the engine will not be the same as mine because mine is a B4C with a factory 350 TPI...it says RS but is really like a Z-28.

Hi Adam, Just bought a 91 RS with a 350tpi out of a vette in it myself. Seems we both have slower than we want 1/4 mile times. (13.88 for me) was wondering if changing the gears to 4.10 would be better???

Hello Lisa, Only know what I read. On thirdgen.org many folks say the 350 TPI is out of it's power band with 3.73 or 4.10 gears. That is why I chickened out on installing 3.73's. Sometimes I wish I did. But I'm not done playing with modifications yet, so who knows what the future will bring. All I need to do is come up with the money. Just dropped a bundle on new PHB, LCA, ATA, & relocation brackets. Just need to get them installed. Then hope the weather will allow me to make it to a track. sorry i haven't had time to respond very busy but i did buy the car it's been restored with the exception of the motor my favorite part but recently had time to do my inspection it has a 4-10 rear end although it spools out at 105 has a streetfighter series 700r4 tranny drivetrain after market edelbrock catback system and i'm currently looking at a zz383 to drop in

yeah its official I think I've married my car! I love driving it but I still want a bigger motor and re-gear the rear end to a 3.83 instead of the 4.10 that it has so I can hit a higher speed but still get there quick. Any tips you may have will be great!

Wow impressive times. Is that all the upgrades done to the car??? We just got an 88 Irocz convertable 5.7 for 2800 in great condition. Goals to break into the 8's on an 1/8th. Any suggestions as far as drive train for a 17 yearold new to tpi's?

hello (1981z28) You might have to change your handle to (1988IrocZ). For a convertable I'd say the first thing should be subframe connetors. Won't make you go faster but with no solid top your going to flex quite a bit. If you got time to read alot of boring material, you could go to my cardomain site. hmmmmm, one wonders how a simple pro street at most car can be rated #1...So you multi punch your ticket to get you a number 1 status?? look at the next in line, now thats a car.. 555 straight motor in a REAL super sport, and a 66 model to boot... that is my voting car for today..

Hey Kenneth....... I think your taking this whole thing a little too serious. That said, here is the low down. This car is 1 of 592 B4C’s built in 1991... Although I’ve done some rather unsuccessful ET bracket racing, this is just a street car that I take to the track for the pure joy of beating the hell out of it…I lose more often than I win… but I still have fun…And Yes. I Voted for myself every day for too many days to remember. Days turned into months. Months turned into years. I had my sons vote for me too. My brothers & sister also. I had my nieces & nephews get in on the action. I asked my cousins & my friends. I asked folks at work. I asked people I met on the internet. I begged people who stopped by other web sites to come here & give me a vote. I’ve seen many other cars pass by me as I moved toward car of the month. Some gaining 100’s of votes in a day. I didn’t do all this to make anyone else happy other than myself. In fact my wife will be glad that this is finally over. So good luck with the 1966 Super Sport I’m sure it’ll be car of the month soon.

what are ur tree time run some bracket races and learn to cut the tree i ride a street bike and thats wehat i take to the track untill i get the camaro done and its really fun runing bracket bcuz its all about ur driving skills and my camaro hopfully is going to be in the low 12s as a street car

My reaction times to the tree vary quite a bit.... Haven't been out this year yet (2008) but last time out last year (2007) my reactions were between .028 & .529 I hate to addmit it but there have been some as bad as .899 I must have been asleep at the light....the Car seems to be slowing down..... 13.608 seconds @ 99.27 mph was the best I could do last year....most passes were around 13.8..... just need more money !!!!
