nice. finally someoone who doestn have a monster engine with more than 500 hpand still manages to go fast. props RPM WINS THE RACE. right on

(sam)
Thanks for the comment, but there are a lot of 302 Ford guys who run fast. I want to see how fast a streetable 302 can run without power adders. I'm not done yet.

(momo)
maybe if you get a single plane intake you can drop like another .2 of a second or even more. or opening up the jets on the carb. still be streetable and you wont see a huge amount of mpg difference

(sam)
A single plane manifold was used for the dyno test . It made good power but ran slower than the dual plane. Next test will be with a 750 carb.

With max power @6100 and torque @ 5000 you might try a lower shift point. Maybe @6500 instead.

(sam)
I was shifting at 6500 in 1st and 2nd gear 7000 in 3rd and had a trap rpm of 7025. I,m launching at 4000 rpm with 10 psi tire pressure and spinning the tires. 64 runs on the tires. Its a lot of fun.

Wow! I'm glad to see that someone else has finally tapped into the great potential with the 327 Chevy! When everyone was rushing to 350's and bigger, I was taking a serious look at the 327 for my 1978 Chevy Monza! Congrats on a great car, Sam!
