1st run I did the pre-burn out/slam the gas approach in S6 I couldnt modulate the throttle at all! The car was completely out of control. I spun through 1st, 2nd, and for 2 seconds into 3rd. The tires were smoking so uncontrollably that my car started to drift into the other car's lane causing me to let off the throttle for a breif second. It took me (from what I was told by my friends watching) 1/3 of the way down the track to stabilize (LOL!). I ran a 60' time of 2.881 and the quarter mile went by in 13.4 seconds @ 118 mph.

I was thinking about trying out launch control on my next pass but decided to just try a more conservative regular start in S6.

Since I was spinning so bad in 1st & 2nd, the only way to get a semi-decent 60 ft time was coming off the lights to press the gas half way in 1st gear and short shift at 5K rpm into 2nd - then floor it. With this method my best 60 ft was a horrible 2.110 seconds. The ET for that run was 12.287 @ 120.83 (almost 121).

A 2.1 60 ft??! I was lining up against 14 sec cars that were pulling the same 2.1 short times! If I was able to pull a 1.9 like most of the other M5/M6 times displayed on http://www.dragtimes.com, I believe I would have turned an 11.79-11.99. Also, since I couldnt floor the car early enough in the game and bring the RPMs higher than 5K, I believe my trap speed suffered as well. Since I pulled a bit over consistant 120s spinning and being that I was half way on the throttle at the start, I feel I have a 121 car. The ET wasnt what I hoped for, but my trap speed was acceptable.
