Taking it back to the streets, these competitors are geared up to get down. Supercharged, turbocharged, naturally aspirated (N/A) and nitrous injected vehicles are well represented in this extensive field of purpose-built roll racers. Let’s hit the interstate and see what shakes out.

The first contest of the evening is between a pair of Mustangs. On the left is a twin turbo car from Midnight Performance. On the right is a supercharged GT500 car upgraded with a VMP Performance (TVS) blower kit. The two pony cars pull alongside one another and the count rings out, “3-2-1”. Both cars accelerate and lurch forward violently. They remain door-handle-to-door-handle for what seems like an eternity. Finally, the turbo car spools up and takes the win.

In the next one, a Dodge Charger Hellcat (Unlimited Performance) takes on a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 from Lethal Performance. The Hellcat has been upgraded with a 4.5-liter Whipple supercharger and a kit of nitrous. The ‘Vette has been modified with a ported blower. Here we go! The two cars pull up even and count it down. An audible crack rings out as the Hellcat driver stomps the accelerator pedal. The Mopar drives away from the Corvette to take the victory.
