1969 Camaro Restomod – 1500HP Twin Turbo Street Beast

It’s back to Southern California for this one. Shawn from Autotopia LA delivers again with this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro restomod build by Nostalgia Hot Rods. Dustin joins forces with Shawn to give us the rundown on this outstanding build. Check it out.

Under the hood is a Nelson Racing Engines built 7.0-liter LSx engine with a pair of 88-millimeter turbochargers. The engine and turbo setup typically produces approximately 1,500hp at the crankshaft (940whp), but it can be turned up to 2,000hp. Shifting duties are handled by a Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox – affectionately known as Tranzilla. Out back, the rear end is a 9-inch Ford unit from TCI. As a daily driver, this Camaro rolls with cold a/c and decent fuel mileage.

The front suspension is from Detroit Speed and the rear setup is of the four-link variety. Shocks are adjustable on all-four corners.

Subtle exterior modifications (along with added carbon fiber elements) yield a combination of nostalgic and modern that is simply majestic.

Shall we hit the road for a test drive?
