Our feature car; a beauty of a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C7) is a prime example of gearheads with multiple power adders. Built by Tim King (TK) Racing, this Chevy is powered by a 6.2-liter LT4 Chevrolet V8 engine. This engine is built for forced air induction, so TK left it stock with the exception of some cylinder sleeves. The turbos are Precision 7675 twins – expertly installed. The stock transmission couldn’t tote the water. It was replaced with a Powerglide. The car is running approximately 28-pounds of boost this weekend and making around 1,800hp. It has the capacity to make 40-psi of boost.
We watched this car lay down consistent low 8 and high 7-second quarter mile passes all weekend at the Street Car Takeover from Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. If you have dreams of a streetable 7-second car; you will love the TKRacing Corvette.
