Exhaust, duplicated eadh side consists of fabbed headers 1.75 into 3". Flanged to the header is a glasspak resonator followed by a Spintek muffler followed by a second resonator. This provides for a legal sound level with minimal back pressure.
The carburator is a hybrid of Holley and Barry Grant Speed Demon. With the objective of not overly exceeding the calculated size of the the carburator (376 cfm) the Holly 4160 (390 cfm) was chosen. However this carb is a rather poor design with only one metering plate
and side-hung floats. All the "bad" stuff was removed and ann additional metering block was installed on the secondary side and float tanks with center mounted floats from a 590cfm Speed Demont were fitted, hence to world's only 390cfm carburator of this configuration.
