Additional parts, modifications, upgrades & information: (0-60, weight, upgrades parts, etc...) stock 70k mile long block with a home made 2 barrell carb adapter with a 2.00 carb and paid a welder 5.00 to stick the pieces together ..(All prices circa 1973) The 180 turbo ate itself so bought a NOS 150 from the local dealer ... wrapped the header and and added a straight through glass pack muff from IECO in Santa Monica... Made a water injection system from an old unreturned Hamm's Tapper keg... and followed the Roe/crown / griffin formula with atweak or two and went to the track .. launching gingerly so as to avoid a 100 mile tow bill ran a best of 14.96 at 96 and change ...No 1/8 clocks back then... The car came on like a gasser at the top end felt like it had a lot more if i could get a better gear split .. third felt like running into a wall of Jello and then picked up HARD the last 2-300 feet... People told me no way it would go that fast in with so little mods ...
