Roll Racing Fun – 1000HP Corvette ZR1 vs. 800HP Mustang GT500

We are back on the streets (of Old Mexico) for this one. Our man Frank located this contest between a modified Corvette ZR1 and a souped-up Mustang GT500. Both these cars are well built by some serious gearheads. Even with no money on the line, these competitors are in it to win it. They will do whatever it takes to claim the victory.

The C6 (2005-2013) Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is propelled by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 motor that can generate 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in factory condition. Featured in this video is a ZR1 that has been modified with expert blower porting, a performance camshaft and cylinder heads, some premium internals and free-flowing exhaust. This Canary Yellow dream can turn 1,000hp in its current condition.

The GT500 is the top-of-the-line for the Mustang. It comes with a supercharged 5.2-liter mill that can churn out 760hp and 625 lb.-ft. of torque. With some specialized tuning, performance exhaust and sticky tires, this beauty is putting 800hp to the pavement.

Shall we get these two steeds on the interstate and watch them roll?
