Monstrous 1,100HP Ram Cummins Diesel

Join the fun as this Ram pickup proceeds to smoke out the crowd at the Real Street Dyno booth; not before putting up some pretty big numbers, though. To the cheers of delighted onlookers, the big turbocharged diesel revs high and floods the sparkling new dyno booth of Real Street with thick black smoke (despite the makeshift ventilation system). Where diesels are concerned, smoke equals horsepower, so those in attendance were in for a treat when the owner of the Ram took to the street and put on a show, creating even more smoke by spinning the tires.

Powered by a slightly modified (upgraded valve springs, pushrods, and hardware) 5.9-liter Cummins diesel engine with over 240,000-miles on the odometer, this Ram delivers the big ponies by utilizing a Borg-Warner S475 turbocharger with cast wheels and a race cover. Additional fuel si supplied using dual CP3 injector pump kits and 100-percent-over-stock fuel injectors. It dyno-tested 910hp in this video, but boost was turned down to 55psi. The owner states that he usually runs 70psi of boost and has dyno-tested at 1,100hp.
