As expected, the Porsche grabs the initial advantage (at least in the first pass) and holds on until the 1320-foot mark in a desperate grab for victory. The Porsche is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that incorporates lithium-ion battery powered electric motors on the four corners, so a great degree of torque comes instantaneously. The Bug comes on strong in the trap end of the track and nearly overtakes the Porsche in the first race and flat out catches the Porsche driver sleeping in the second. The Spyder takes the third and decisive race with ease. Lucky for the Porsche, this was not a one-mile or rolling race, huh?
