1,325HP GT-R vs. Porsche 918 Spyder

June 8th, 2015

Insane 2Two of the most prominent supercars on the planet square-off in this epic battle of speed and driving technique. This clip provides video evidence than a $100k supercar can tangle with a $1-million supercar and come out on top. Although the Nissan has been drastically modified (probably at least an additional $50k), many would consider it the underdog in any race that includes the legendary high-performance-hybrid Porsche 918 – not so fast!

The Porsche 918 Spyder utilizes a mid-mounted 4.6-liter V8 internal combustion engine and a series of lithium-ion battery powered electric motors to generate 887-horsepower and accomplish a stunning 0 to 60 mph time of only 2.2-seconds. The Nissan GT-R is an all-wheel drive with a front-mounted engine. The stock unit is a 3.8-liter V6 engine with twin-turbochargers. It churns out nearly 600-factory-horsepower. This particular GT-R has been modified by Sneaky Tuning (Denmark) to generate 1,325-dyno-proven-horsepower. It has laid down an 8.7-second 1/4-mile @ 160 mph. The top-speed is projected to be 223 mph.
