By utilizing a special BAR and PLATE full aluminum design, the intercooler acts as a large heat exchanger that dissipates the heat generated by the compression of the intake charge without creating reductions in boost pressure or response. As the pressurized air is channeled through the thin tubes of the intercooler core, that are filled with internal radiating fins, cool ambient air rushes through the front of the core, where the external radiating bar and plate draw out the heat. This heat transfer decreases the likelihood of detonation by reducing the inlet temperatures and maximizes power output by increasing the density of the air inlet charge, therefore increasing overall hp levels as the intake charge is now cooler and denser. Boost response and airflow is also often improved from the intercooler upgrades larger flow capacity and cooling efficiency. It is the intention of FTG Motorsports to sell only quality products. We offer a 2-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials, not extending to normal wear and tear or mis-use. You must provide us with a proof of purchase, defect or the result of wear or mis-use. Some products have less than 1-year warranty, inquire before ordering.
FOR ALL TURBO RELATED WARRANTIES- WE REQUIRE NEW OIL LINES TO BE INSTALLED. WE REQUIRE PROPER PRIMING OF THE TURBO TO BE DOCUMENTED WITH VIDEO. THIS MEANS YOU MUST VERIFY OIL GOING INTO THE TURBO AFTER CRANKING ENGINE BUT BEFORE START UP. THIS IS VERIFIED BY CRACKING THE OIL FEED LINE TO ENSURE OIL IS BEING FED INTO THE TURBO. THIS MUST BE DOCUMENTED WITH VIDEO OR PICTURES FOR WARRANTY. IN ADDITION TO THIS YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR ENGINE OIL AND REPLACE THE FILTER TO ENSURE THAT NO CONTAMINATION HAS OCCURED IN THE OIL. THIS IS SUBJECT BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALL WARRANTY RELATED ISSUES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
FTG is not responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty claims, the customer is responsible for covering shipping costs to and from FTG , even in the event that a part is warrantied or deemed defective and replaced. Warranty claims in most cases require parts to be returned to FTG to be inspected, once we determine the cause of the defect is from manufacturing and not from wear or mis-use, the warranty process can begin. In rare cases we can confirm the warranty claim via picture or video, especially if the failure is a known, documented issue.
FTG Motorsports will only replace or repair warranty items, no refunds will be given. FTG Motorsports or the product manufacturer will inspect or test all products prior to a warranty claim adjustment. This process may take up to 6 weeks. All products we offer are warranted to be free from defects prior to installation. Any modification or improper use voids this warranty. This warranty does not cover installation. FTG Motorsports shall be the final arbitrator in interpreting the extent and remedy of warranty.
