Truly awesome and very rare set of proper German Artec/RH split rims
17 x 9J ET33 fronts with approx 2.75\" lips
17 x 10J ET17 rears with approx 3.75\" lips
5 x 120mm PCD
The bolt-on outer lip is changeable so you can fit the width/dish/offset you desire. As you can see from the width and offset numbers, they fit pretty mean and wide. An aggressive stance.
Amazing quality wheels, just look at the design/engineering that has gone into the rear side of the hub/spokes and the ribbed areas on the barrels. Nice brake caliper clearance too.
Made in Germany in 1997, period correct for E31, E32, E34, E36, E38 and Z3 / Z3M M Coupe / M Roadster. Such a classic 5-spoke, deep dish look is timeless and looks great on any BMW.
I have had these fitted to a Z3 M coupe, an E46 Touring and an E36 M3 saloon. My cars had arch mods and ran stretched tires - please do your own measurements/calculations/checks/comparisons BEFORE buying to determine how they\'ll fit your particular car and if you\'ll need to do any arch work. All sales are final and no returns.
All wheels run well and balance up well. They are good to use as-is. No cracks or major dents, but if you want them perfect you will need to repair or replace 2 of the outer lips as described below:
Bad points:
Heavy curbing to 2 of the outer lips. Please see pictures. Certainly noticeable when looking but doesn\'t affect function. The outer lips are bolt-on/bolt-off replaceable pieces, so if you are going with wider or narrower dished lips sometime down the line, these outer lip imperfections will be gone. As stated I\'ve been using them as-is for several years at all speeds on road and track and they are fine, but if you want them perfect then you will need to repair the kurbed spots or replace those 2 lips.
The rims could probably use resealing at some point - they\'ve held air fine during my use but some fresh Tigerseal (or exterior door/window frame sealant works equally well) would always be beneficial to any sealed split rim wheel
The paint is useable as-is but not the best. I quite like the purposeful, used-in-anger sport/race look with some patina, but if you want show n shine then the centres (and lips of course) would polish up like mirrors with an afternoons work with some polishing wheels and compounds.
A really rare chance to get some proper Made in Germany 1990\'s split rims in an awesome, wide and aggressive stance fitment.
