The ExtremeContact DW (DW for Dry & Wet) is Continental Tire\'s Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans. The ExtremeContact DW is designed to deliver good ride quality and serious performance on bothdry and wet roads. Like all summer tires, the ExtremeContact DW is not intendedto be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
ExtremeContact DW tires feature an asymmetric design with chamfered tread blocks and a continuous, outboard notched intermediate rib to enhance responsiveness and cornering stability. Continuous center ribs reduce noise and provide constant rubber-to-road contact to control the longitudinal forces experienced when braking. A high void-to-tread ratio with open outboard lateral grooves, wide circumferential tread grooves and notched shoulder blocks on the inboard intermediate rib and shoulder help disperse water to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet weather traction.

However I have been severely disappointed with the tread life. I\'m also disappointed that itdoesn\'t have any tread life warranty (unlike the DWS). I\'m almost at 16,600 miles and I\'m at the tread life line. I was able to get over 30k on the Michelins. Based on cost per mile it appears that the Michelins are less expensive and a higher rated Tire Rack tire. I would not recommend these tires if you want decent tread life.

Feels ten times better than the Good Years that came from the factory. response, ride quality, and traction is waaaaay better. Should be standard on the vehicle when I ought it. Would buy them again.

I drive these to the drag strip and pull 1.7 60 foots on them constantly and have hit a best of 1.66 on them. People constantly come up to my car and are in shock when they see that a street tire performs that well.
