This is not a OEM air intake assembly, it is the black adapter pictured next to the Factory adapter.
It's what's known as the Gotts Mod. Basically what the Gotts Mod is is a way of altering the factory air intake system to bring in more cold air for very little money.
If you look at what's available out there for cold air intakes, you'll see that some of the so-called "Cold Air" kits are actually sucking in hot under hood air which is no good.
If you want a cheap, easy way to slightly modify your stock air intake to flow more air, then this is for you!
