Camaro ZL1 vs TT AWD Silverado – $6000 Street Race

This clip is coming at you straight outta’ Compton – from one of the most iconic street racing venues in the world. This stretch of public blacktop has seen so much drag racing that it resembles a prepped track. This is a wild place when the stench of racing fuel is in the air. Onlookers from all over the country come to get a glimpse of top-tier competitors battling for big money.

Tonight, we have a pair of heavy hitters ready to compete for $6,000. Both vehicles have been radically modified to enhance performance and outfitted with drag radials for optimum traction. These hard-nosed street racers make no apologies for their willingness to lay it all on the line. At the finish line, one will find fame and fortune. The other will experience the frustration of coming up short and losing a pile of cash.

In the right lane we have the vaunted Chevy Camaro ZL1 with it’s supercharged (1.7-liter Eaton) 6.2-liter V8. In stock trim the ZL1 is capable of making 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5-seconds. There is literally no telling how much power the Camaro featured in this video is making. At minimum, it has been tuned, it has a full assortment of bolt-ons and the blower may be ported.

The all-wheel drive Chevy Silverado 1500 is running a 6.0-liter V8 with a pair of turbochargers. Exact specifications for this particular truck are unknown, but it is making some serious power.
