Rebuilt and fluid pressure tested original USA manufactured Rochester Monojet 1 barrel carburetor for 1976-77 Chevrolet Chevette and the Canadian version sold as the Pontiac Acadian (1.4L & 1.6L 85cid and 98cid 4 cylinder). Champion reman. stock # is 3-819. (See last picture from Champion carburetor ID guide). Rochester number is 17057035 (1977 production). Also interchanges with 1976 thru 1977 Rochester numbers 17056030, 17056031, 17056032, 17056034, 17056035, 17056036, 17056330, 17056331, 17056332, 17056334, 17056335, 17056336, 17057030, 17057031, 17057032, 17057034, 17057035, 17057042, 17057044, 17057045, 17057054, 17057056. Carburetor features electric choke. Throttle bore diameter diameter is 1-7/16". Mounting base bolt hole centers are 2-15/16". This 1977 Chevette monojet carb is basically the same as the 1976 and 1978 monojets differed mainly in tighter emission updates and can be used on 1976-77 also. (Note: vintage vehicles are not required to take emission tests in most states). Most of these carbs are sold without the difficult to find idle stop solenoid. I have installed a reliable manual spring loaded threaded screw adjustment to solve the lack of a solenoid. This clean original unit was part of the older rebuilt and boxed inventory from my carburetor shop. As recommendedfor old stock, carburetor has been completelygone through with a full teardown inspection, general cleanup and verification of proper condition. Carburetor has had all age dated components replaced using quality ethanol ready USA Bendix / Hygrade components including all gaskets, needle & seat assy, accelerating pump fuel filter etc. This has been followed by an extended 5psi fluid pressure bench test and visual confirmation of strong positive accelerating pump action and proper linkage/choke operation. All factory recommended bench settings have been set. Carburetor is in excellent serviceable condition and is ready to install. Includes manifold base gasket.
