You are bidding on a new old stock 1972,1973,1974,1975,1976,1977,1978,1979 Chevrolet Vega,Monza and Pontiac air intake screen GM part number 3997295 new in the original GM box. The GM parts book shows that the air intake screen is correct for all 1972-1979 Chevrolet Vega and Monza models with a 140 motor and all 1976-1979 Pontiac models with a 140 motor. The screen mounts on the radiator support and connects to the duct that directs the fresh air into the air cleaner. PLEASE NOTE THAT we provide the applications listed in the GM parts books as a guide as to what the parts correct usage is but it is the buyers responsibility to do all the necessary research needed prior to making the purchase to ensure that the part is the exact item that is needed for your restoration.
