The Petlas Progreen PT525 is a performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
Summer weather traction is guaranteed with this tire. It effectively combines its summer compound and asymmetric tread design to provide a better grip on dry and wet surfaces. In other words, the tire's road-to-rubber ratio and ideal sipe placement generate traction in summer conditions. The durable, heat-resistant compound optimizes the rubber flexibility while avoiding pressure accumulation in warmer temperatures. Three wide circumferential grooves disperse water, preventing it from blocking surface contact. This actively combats hydroplaning.
Excellent fuel efficiency is also promoted. Better summer traction helps to minimize pressure accumulation across the tread area while the tires are in motion. This significantly lowers the tire's rolling resistance, which determines the vehicle's fuel consumption necessary. As the tire decreases rolling resistance, the vehicle's fuel usage and CO2 emissions are reduced as well. This offers a fuel-conscious driving experience.
The ribbed footprint, with the wider shoulder blocks, ensures the tire's constant contact with the road. This greatly improves its steering responsiveness and driving stability, optimizing the driver's consistent control over the vehicle at all times. The shoulder block pattern provides additional biting edges, generated by the sipes and lateral grooves, to increase cornering. The Petlas Progreen PT525 guarantees a quiet drive. The special shoulder block array makes sure airwaves do not enter the footprint. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
