the spare tire carrier swing open to give youfull access of your tailgate or rear hatch we have tested 35" tires on thecarrier with no issue. i have the fabricator also install a license platemount on the carrier so you don't have to spend extra money for a license platemount. spare tire mount can fit both 5 and 6 lug & 8 lug wheels please see chart below.
