I made repair kit for this well known issue on Volvo P80 platform.It is CNC laser cut metal plate with tig welded tube which fit perfectly between end trim and cargo cover, so it can grab back all tension to function properky, really easy to install and perfect fit.In the cargo cover is shaft which is tensioned in cargo cover end caps. Whole end caps are plastic and old so tension brake them after years of use and degradation from sun.
Repair kit is metal plate with notched tube which fit inside of end caps.
So you just put it on cargo cover shaft, roll it on and tensioned it fit end caps over it and cargo cover is back in working order.Every repair kit arrive with step by step instructions with photos.For more info send a message
