This is a vintage genuine Personal suede racing steering wheel, made in Italy, with original Personal horn button with yellow logo.
It is quite a few years old, I myself have had it for around 14 years. It is used, but has been in dry storage for most of its life. It has seen previous motorsport use - it was originally fitted to a TTE (Toyota Team Europe) race car.
The suede is nicely worn-in. If you\'ve ever used suede wheels you will know that they are much more grippy than leather, but require many hours of use to wear the suede in to the ideal grip level and texture. This is why you will see racing drivers using suede wheels keep the same wheel for several seasons where possible.
The grip and feel of this wheel is lovely. For track/race use with gloves, suede is the only option as there is simply not enough grip with leather wheels when using racing gloves.
It is of a classic, older, sleeker Personal design. Somewhere in between the current Grinta and Fitti Corsa models, yet subtly different from any of the current modern Personal range.Â
It is 365mm diameter which is very rare for the suede Personal racing wheels. After using many steering wheel sizes over the years I find 365mm just right - 330mm is just way too small, 350mm is nice but I find the 365mm size gives that extra bit of fine precision for small corrections at the limit.
Centre bore is 58mm, bolt PCD is Personal standard PCD of 6 x 74mm, wider and stronger than the Momo/Sparco/Simoni/Mountney PCD.
Fits Personal hubs, also Nardi hubs. Will fit other hubs with a suitable adapter - 6 x 74mm to 6 x 70mm for use with Momo/Sparco/Simoni/Mountney hub kits.
This is a used racing wheel in good useable condition with some normal wear. No returns whatsoever so please examine pics.
