Price: $2200.00

30,000 Miles on well maintained T2 engine. Always operated cylinder head temp gauge on #3 cylinder to keep temps low. Used Dakota Digital CHT gauge and wiring: see other listings. Included in sale price: Progressive two barrel Weber Carb, extractor exhaust manifold and matching Bug pack muffler, Heat exchangers, fuel pump, electronic ignition(no points), aluminum timing scale, debris screen for fan, all engine tin included, even have the old bellows thermostat which is in working order and was new 30000 miles ago. Had Oil change 2000 mile ago. This is an engine in good working order. I drove it from Alabama to Alaska and back with no problems at all. The reason I removed the engine is to swap out for a Subaru engine. This engine could be put right into your late Bay bus and take you wherever you wish to go. Just keep it slow to keep the temps down. It does leak oil which is not uncommon. I would advise replacing the valve guide seals and maybe the front and rear seals while the engine is out to put a stop to any leaks. Cylinder heads are from AVP and were new approximately 10,000miles ago. One note, the exhaust ports are square which will require 1979 heat exchangers. For whatever reason this is the only year with the square exhaust ports. New exchangers are still available. The heat exchangers included are in good working order and match this engine.
