DETAILSThis Digital iSimple iPod Interface by Peripheral/iSimple is a state of the art product that allows you to directly connect virtually any iPod (see list below) to the auxiliary input port of your 11-bit GM radio. The cable that connects this to your radio is a T-harness, so it has a plug to allow you, in most cases, to retain a factory auxiliary input currently connected to the radio.Unlike some other products, this interface allows full control of iPod functions through the radio controls OR from the iPod itself. This includes: track up/down, playlist selection, shuffle modes, scan and repeat. As delivered, this comes with a 30-pin iPod cable that allows connection of many Apple devices. If you have one of the newer devices with the Lightning connector, you can upgrade to a USB iPod-ready cable instead. (It is an extra cost option. Contact us for info.) With the optional USB iPod-ready cable, you will get a female USB connection that allows you to plug in the Apple USB cable you already own. Then you can control and charge your newer device. Text display is also allowed through the optional USB connection. (Although you should note that cheaper off-brand Apple USB cables do not allow text or control. You may find you need to use the official cable that came with your Apple product.) The optional USB iPod-ready cable can be used for either a 30-pin cable or a Lightning cable, so it is the most versatile. Even if you don\'t have a device with a Lightning connector now, you might want to upgrade to this cable since you never know when someone will need to use a Lightning connector in your vehicle. Please note: the optional USB connection does not support thumb drives, Android, etc. It is only for connecting an Apple product.This works with your factory satellite-ready radio. (Non-navigation radios must have a CAT button.) Playlist, track name, artist and album name are displayed on the factory radio when you are in radio control mode. If you are in iPod control mode, the only feature you can control from the radio is the volume and you will not have text display on the radio.Unlike competitor\'s products, this includes an auxiliary (aux) input cable so you can add another device. (mp3 player, satellite radio, CD changer, DVD player, etc). You can choose from RCA jacks OR a stereo mini plug. Or, use the port to add something cooler, like Bluetooth (with the ISBT21 kit - not included), HD Radio (with the HDRT tuner package - not included) OR Sirius satellite with the SCC1 tuner and ISSR11 cable (neither are included.) You cannot, however, have more than two sources connected at the same time. The iPod counts as one source, so you would have to choose between Bluetooth, HD Radio, Sirius radio or a standard auxiliary input for the second source. (Although you could fore-go use of the iPod and use both the inputs far any two of the other options.) If you have questions about Sirius, HD Radio or the Bluetooth kit, please call or email. Peripheral, PAC and iSimple are all owned by the same company (AAMP of America). They offer the same products with different names and packaging. In this case, the iSimple ISGM572 is made up of the Peripheral PXAMG interface and PGHGM2 harness. (Peripheral packages the items separately and iSimple packages them together.) We will send whichever we have more of at the time. Again, they are the same except for model name and packaging.

Theftlock will not be activated if you remove your radio. These GM radios have the VIN assigned to them and yours will work as soon as you plug it back in since it has your VIN assigned to it.

SHIPPING, HANDLING & RETURNS

• Shipping cost is based on the weight of the item and your zip code. Ebay\'s shipping calculator does the figuring, not us. If you feel the eBay shipping calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours. Please don\'t ding us for shipping cost in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
• Tracking numbers are input into the eBay system. They will email you, provided your preferences are set accordingly. UPS or USPS will also email the tracking number to you. If you haven\'t received a tracking number from either eBay or the carrier, something is wrong with your email, you have the wrong email address listed in eBay and/or Paypal or your filters are set too tight.
  
• A signature is not required for delivery of your package. If you aren\'t home to receive it, it will most likely be left at your door. You need to monitor it\'s progress and collect it safely once it arrives.

• If it doesn\'t seem to be working right, please contact the manufacturer for support. Their toll-free Tech Support number is listed on the packaging. If they think it is defective, please email us for a return authorization. We will issue an exchange. If you opt not to accept an exchange and/or we can\'t confirm the problem you have reported, we will have to withhold a restocking fee of 20% to account for the change in condition. If anything is missing or damaged, additional withholdings will apply, up to the entire purchase price, if applicable. Shipping is also non-refundable.
