These starter motors are complete new units, not rebuilt. 3+ horsepower withgear reduction that creates 30-50% morepower plus draws less amps than stock factory Chevrolet direct drive starters. Weight isless than 12 pounds and is only 9\" long. Works great on mild street applications, big cubestroker engines, and all out race motors with 13:1+ compression.
Starter body isclockableto 3 different positions to help exhaust or header clearance if needed plus can also be turned invertedso solenoid ison bottom. Bolts and a shim kit are included to adjust pinion to ring gear distance and depth clearances.
These mini starters have 2 wireposts withis standard on applications such as HEI andelectronic distributors, oraftermarket distributors that do not require a ballast resistor. These do not have a post for the \"R\" terminal. Ifusing an older points type distributorthis will still work, but you may or may notrequire an additional diode assemblyto bypass your coil \"R\" terminal.
