This is for the Chrysler 8.25\" axle (not Dana). I installed this in my 2001 Cherokee when I changed the differential gear oil. For some reason a whine noise developed under load, so I hoped changing the oil would resolve that. I purchased this ruffstuff cover to go along with the premo gear oil. After I installed this new heavy duty diff cover and premium gear oil, the Jeep still had the same whine noise. So I reinstalled the old cover. This basically has a few miles on it, and is like new. I primed and painted it black (although I am not a good painter, I didn\'t want it to rust). This is the best differential cover out there. Comes with the bolt kit. This is our basic differential cover, we see it as the only one worth making. The Chrysler 8.25\" axle came as Standard Equipment on the Jeep Cherokee (XJ), Grand Cherokee (ZJ), Liberty (KJ), & several Dakota trucks. This Differential cover is a 1 piece Plate steel cap 3/8\" (.375\") thick bent 8 ways then welded to a 1/2\" ring to better match up with the newer lockers. The fill plug is a generous 1.0\" ID for easy fill and oil level check.
This is a fully welded Chrysler 8.25\" Differential Cover, welded inside and out with fill plug. Bolts sold separately.
