Porsche Fikse Mach V 17\" 3-piece forged wheelsUltra-lightweight, beautifully constructed, beautifully restoredUnused since restoration completed (to the tune of about $1000)

The forged centers were refinished by Prince Wheel Services in Charlotte – renowned for top notch BMW Chrome Shadow refinish work. I media blasted the entire set in my shop and powder coated the rim halves/barrels with all threads and mating surfaces masked to retain precise tolerances.
The wheels were in excellent shape with ~25,000 miles of use when I acquired them No rust on the bolts and no damage on the wheels. The only issue was the finish was in poor condition from being in FL. I closely monitored the refinishing process to ensure the aluminum parts were subjected to powder coating heat for as brief of a time as possible during the cure cycle. If you have any questions about the process, please send me a message and I will be happy to answer.
A new $4000 set of these will come with the base \"Technipolish\" finish, which leaves the rim halves uncoated (leading to pitting and high maintenance to maintain polish) and the centers coated in a fragile clearcoat that does not hold up to daily or all season duty. This set will have none of those issues. This is as low maintenance as you can get for a set of shiny forged wheels. Expect an additional $250 per wheel to get an equivalent finish for sale here.
You will not be disappointed in the quality of the wheels or the quality of the restoration.
Rear wheel specifications:

  • 17 x 10.5 ET65
  • 2” outer rim, 8” inner rim
  • Recommended tire 275/40R17 or 315/35R17
  • Relative to the common OEM Porsche rear wheel offering of 10” ET65, the outer lip is ¼” extended outward and inner lip is ¼” extended inward
Fits:
  • 993 perfectly without spacers or rolling with 275
  • 964 with 15mm spacer to clear oil line, may require fender rolling depending on tire width. For stanced cars, a 255/40 should fit very well.
  • 944/951 perfectly without spacers or rolling with 275
  • 928 perfectly without spacers, may require fender rolling with 315
  • 996 perfectly without spacers, may require fender rolling with 315
Front wheel specifications:
  • 17 x 9 ET58
  • 17.0 lbs each
  • 1.5” outer rim, 7.5” inner rim
  • Recommended tire 235/45R17 or 245/40R17 or 245/45R17 or 255/40R17 depending on car and setup
  • Relative to the common OEM Porsche front wheel offering specs of 8” ET52, the outer lip is ¼” extended and inner lip is ¾” extended. Note that with a similar width tire, the outer edge of the tire will actually be *inboard* of an 8\" ET52 due to the centerline of the wheel being farther inboard.
  • YES, these will fit over GTS/Big Red brake calipers
Fits:
  • 928 is an aggressive but great fitment to allow a more balanced tire stagger. Wider front wheel helps dial out understeer with the ability to run a larger tire. Aggressive front offset *may* require slight fender rolling if your car is lowered. Critically, the offset stays within the window of factory front 928 wheels, so the scrub radius is within original tolerance.
  • 993 with minimum of 10mm spacer, maximum of 21mm spacer. I run an 18 x 9 ET58 front wheel on my RS-height 993 with 21mm spacers without rolled fenders and a 235 tire. No rubbing. It is very easy to change the front studs on a 993. After running the 21mm spacer, I believe a 10-15mm spacer would be ideal, with a 235 or 245 tire. A hubcentric wheel spacer with longer studs (not a spacer with built-in studs) is a perfectly safe option for the front of a sports car, even on track.
  • 964 with possible steering stops required to slightly reduce max turning angle (I have record of owner saying this works), 225-245 tire width depending on suspension setup. Should be an excellent fit if stanced with a 225.
  • 944/951 if running M030 suspension or coilovers (otherwise it will contact stock front springs) - offsets are great to balance tire stagger.
  • 996 with ~15mm spacer (extra easy on 996 with wheel bolts instead of studs)

Finish, Condition, Terms:
  • Centers and center caps finished in 3-stage BMW “Chrome Shadow” effect paint with black powder coat base, Chrome Shadow paint midcoat, and powder coat clear which is much more durable than a paint clear over chrome shadow. The effect is my personal favorite wheel finish (always loved E39 M5 wheels), which in bright light has the luster of a polished wheel and in shade/shadow takes on a moodier black chrome look. It also renders the spokes better than a traditional finish, as they have a significant gradient depending on which surface is facing the sun. Notice the backside of the spokes are essentially black.
  • Outer rims powder coated in Polished Aluminum finish with UV-resistant additive - slightly lighter than the centers which was done on purpose to enhance the stepped lip and center finish.
  • Inner rims powder coated in Satin (semi-gloss) black so you don\'t have to deal with brake dust pitting like most 3-piece wheels.
  • All original hardware in excellent condition, only cleaned (not media blasted) to retain rust-preventive coating.
  • New O-rings on center caps
  • Matching anodized valve stem caps
