For sale is a genuine OEM Porsche backup rear view camera and hatch trim piece from a 2008 Cayenne Turbo.
I believe the camera still works. When I replaced it with an aftermarket one (that is integrated in the hatch handle), I could still get a picture on the screen but the little door wouldn\'t open. I\'m fairly certain there was something wrong with the control module, not the camera assembly.
I took apart the camera assembly, lubed the screw drives that open and close the lid, and put it all back together, but it didn\'t reliably open.
The lid to the camera assembly was damaged probably from contacting an overhead garage door (prior to my purchase of the car). The dealer attempted to repaint it, but it doesn\'t really look very good. The whole lid needs to be sanded down flat and resprayed.
I know this whole kit is somewhere around $1,600 from the dealer. Hopefully you\'ll be able to use some or all of it for your repair.
