Pantera heater valve w/ tool
This electronically controlled heater valve is designed to go into the pantera with all the stock appearance in the dash. The original hot and cold cable needs to be cut shorter and bent into a Z (see the picture). One kit comes with a tool to make the Z and the other kit comes without the tool if you want to bend the cable without the tool. (it's hard to bend the cable without the tool). The advantages to this heater valve is that the electric valve is mounted outside in the engine compartment so that the original valve from under the dash is no longer inuse (they never work anyway). Also this bypass valve has 2 inlet and 2 outlet heater hose connections. A bypass valve is when the valve is in the closed position and the water is not flowing into the car's heater. The benefit of this is that the hot water does not flow into the car, but it allows constant water flow back to the engine which will help in cooling the vehicle. The water is continuously flowing through the heater hose and does not stop the flow like the original valve did. (Note: Depending on where you put the heater valve in the engine the compartment occasionally the wires are not long enough and they have to be extended).
