What is this? - This is a brand new and uncut high security chip key. Inside it contains a tiny embedded electronic chip called a transponder. Each transponder has its own unique code—it’s the key’s “fingerprint”. When the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the transponder is energized and broadcasts its unique code to the car’s receiver in the dashboard. If the car’s receiver recognizes the code, it will allow the car to start. Only within the past several years have these keys become available outside the car dealers.

Why buy from us? - This high quality aftermarket key contains the same exact transponder unit as your original car key. With us, you get a “better than the dealership” LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. Most people know their vehicle’s high-tech keys are expensive at the car dealers—typically costing $75 or more EACH. Now, you can get high-tech keys from us at the fraction of the cost.

How to program: This type of vehicle requires you to have TWO existing keys that start the vehicle in order to program this key yourself. If you currently only have one key (or zero), you will NOT be able to program this key- it will need to be programmed by a dealer or qualified locksmith. Many dealerships do it for free as a courtesy. If your dealer does charge a fee, keep in mind locksmiths usually charge much less to stay competitive. This is why it’s a good idea to have three keys that will start the vehicle at all times.
