***IMPORTANT*** Please do not install this voltage regulator in your car unless you know that rest of your charging system is in proper operating condition. Have your battery tested and if you purchased an off the shelf rebuilt alternator please have it tested as many so called rebuilt alternators are not fully rebuilt and only the obvious defective parts are replaced. Please make sure that all grounds are good and that if you have replaced a single field alternator with a dual field alternator please make sure you have wired it properly. Please read my return policy below. By purchasing this item you acknowledge that you have tested your charging system and have read my return policy and understand that if you use this item with an alternator with more than a 65 amp rating that you do so at your own risk. Regrettably, I have had too many buyers assume that their voltage regulator failed because it was defective when in fact it failed due to a problem with the charging system in their car.

You are buyingone (1) new reproduction Solid State Electronic Correct Restoration Appearance Voltage Regulator for all 1960-1969 Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler vehicles with alternators. "IGN" and "FLD" stamped in raised letters on the cover just like the factory issued regulators. Factory Voltage Regulator Covers will snap on.

This isthevoltage regulator that your friends have purchased from me on eBay or at the Chrysler Nationals show in Carlisle, PA for more than a decade. (I am no longer selling at Carlisle.)

This is a direct replacement for the factory mechanical voltage regulator. It uses the same connectors as the factory voltage regulators and can be used with either an electronic ignition or a points type ignition system.

This voltage regulator also works on many tractors and related equipment including; Case (1961-1971) ,Cockshutt (1967-1971) ,Eaton (1966-1972) , Long Tractor (1974-1991) , Palmer (1961-1966) ,White (1969-1975)& White (Cockshutt) (1967-1971) as well as other applications where an external voltage regulator is used.

Other eBay sellers may have a similar item for sale but is it the same? Do they ship it byPriority Mail? Do they have the feedback and reviews that I do? Do they ship worldwide?Do they list the name of the manufacturer?Have they been on eBay selling since 2000?

This is the voltage regulator that you want, sold by the seller that has sold more of these than anyone else. Check out my feedback and the reviews on this item as well as other items that I have for sale including Chrysler type Ignition Modules.

Still questioning whether you should buy this item? Here is a quick story involving Herb McCandless Sr., the second Sox & Martin Pro Stock driver known as "Mr. 4-Speed", 2008 Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee, 2012 (inaugural)MOPAR Hall of Fame inductee and retired owner of Herb McCandless PerformanceandChrysler Performance. Herbwas having trouble with the charging system on his '61 Imperial at the 2015 Chrysler Nationals show. Mr. McCandless came over and talked to me about these voltage regulators, he then bought 3 of these regulators as he has several classic MOPARS. He installed one in his Imperial that day, which fixed the charging problem andafter driving the car he liked the product so muchthat he came back the next day to talk to me some more and to buy 2 more of these voltage regulators as he wanted to put them on all of his cars.

This High Quality Voltage Regulator uses Solid State Electronic internals (a circuit board), which will reduce the Amp Gauge Needle Fluttering that the stock and parts store replacement "points type" or"mechanical"voltage regulators are known for. This Voltage Regulator will also help with dimming head lamps at night. This voltage regulator is compatible with eitherelectronic ignition or points ignition systems. There is no need for you to use the Mopar"race only" constant voltage output voltage regulator from Mopar Performance on your 1969 & older 12-volt street car with electronic ignition when you can use this regulator instead.

This voltage regulator is NOT intended for use on vehicles that havemore than a 65 ampalternator and should not be used with an alternator that has an output exceeding 65 amps per the manufacturer.Stock alternators for '60 - '69 Chrysler products had amperage output ratings from the mid-thirty amp range to the upper forty amp range. Therefore, if you are using a stock or stock replacement alternator for your car, you can use this voltage regulator.

This will not cure dimming headlamps at night if your car has a stock mid-thirty amp rated alternator as that is not enough amperage. It will help but will not cure that problem. Upgrade to a 50 amp alternator as I did on one of my '68 Plymouths and your amp gaugeshould not go into the discharge range when you are stopped at a light at night with the headlights on.

Manufactured by Regitar USA, a worldwide manufacturer of automotive and heavy equipment electrical components including alternator and started rebuild parts. Google Regitar USA. Yes, this item is made in China but not everything made in China is junk.

This regulator does not have any Chrysler stamping on it but otherwise looks like the factory issued mechanical regulators. Original Chrysler voltage regulator covers willfit on the base of this voltage regulator.

Return Policy: Even though I have only encountered very few defective regulators over my several years of selling this item, returns on an installed voltage regulator will generally NOT be accepted andrequire prior approval as this is an automotive electronic item that will only operate correctly if; it is installed correctly, with a proper ground by the mounting bolts in a car that has aproperly functioning charging system with an alternator output of no more than 65 amps. (No different than any auto parts store’s policy). If your car hasrelatively newpaint on the firewall, make sure that the mounting bolts are creating a good ground when you install this item on your car.
