Thanks for viewing my listing. This is a Mercedes w124 center resonator muffler which I removed this week from a 1991 Mercedes 300e. This is the second to last muffler, and its purpose is to reduce the noise from the exhaust system. The baffles inside this center resonator can get corroded with age and no longer function appropriately. Rather than reducing noise, it will get clogged up and cause airflow restrictions.
This one is a good used center resonator. It fits on all m103 powered w124 models, such as 260e, 300e, 300ce, 260ce, etc. It will not work on wagon models with the m103 engine. This is not a bolt on muffler. There is about 4-6\" of piping on each side of the resonator, and it can be welded to your existing exhaust system by any muffler shop.
