You are looking at a K&N filter and Housing off of late 1970 early 1980 Chevy truck. The truck that this came off of was build, and it had a aftermarketcarburetor, however thediameter of a sitting hole (opening for a filter to sit on the carb) is same as thediameter of common GM Chevy Vans (we happen to have a 1987 Full size van w/350), the plate sits firmly on it, so i figured id let you know about this for you to make your own conclusions in regards of you needing it or not for your own set up. This filter is by far the biggest i have seen of this type. The whole set up, cap/filter is used but in good working condition and is a beast of a filter set up. Filter is notexcessively dirty ( meaning no gum or anything, just would need to be shaken off and reoiled most likely). As far as condition of chrome goes - please look at the pics to make your own judgement, because iwon't be sitting and describing every inch of the cover and bottom, lol. All i can say is that the top lid have slight bent on itscircumferance,which you should be able to see on a pics.
