The car itself remains basically stock- the instrument cluster, original Jag shifter, and AC system all operate exactly as they did before. Everything fits under the hood, and there is no cutting, drilling or welding required on the car itself. The converted cars run beautifully with excellent performance and balance and similar fuel economy. And the overall cost of the conversion is very reasonable- it is more than worthwhile. THE INTERFACE: The key to these conversions is the hardware/software interface so the new engine/transmission can communicate with the car. This is absolutely required for the instrument cluster, AC system, and other components on the car to operate properly. Without this interface there is no way the conversion would work. Using our highly complex software-driven module, the new GM powertrain can communicate with the car and key related systems will work.
