XJ6 series I and II cars did not have SU carburetors for the USA market. This rare SU HD8 carburetor and manifold assembly has been in the weather for quite a while. Some parts are missing such as the float bowl lids and damper rods, Other parts are rusted. It would be an interesting and fun project to do. Lids and other HD8 parts are available new and HD8 carburetors are not hard to find.Condition is "as is", " rough", seen in the photos with the assembly needing a complete rebuild and restoration. Waving a smart phone over it like a magic wand won't do it. Skill, patience, lots of penetrating oils and some new parts will.

Likely that this came from a car that crashed back in the 1970's or 1980's but only the Shadow knows.
