This is VW part # 113 919 049D, which is a fuel tank sender or sending unit that mounts into the fuel tank of your Volkswagen Beetle made from 1968-1977, in other words ALL of your Beetle\'s in that year grouping both Sedan and convertible.THIS DOES NOT FIT SUPER BEETLE. I usually have the Super Beetle one\'s listed so go look in my store here This comes complete as shown with a new gasket and new screws with seals on each screw in the package as shown and then there are directions as well.The holes in the sender and the gasket line up only in 1 position with the holes in your tank, this positions the sender in the correct position to measure the fuel.This sends a signal to your fuel gauge in your speedometer and tells you how much of this stuff we call gas is still in your gas tank. If your gauge is not working this is the most commonly replaced item as it sits in the gas all of it\'s lifespan. My Fluke meter reads 5 ohms when the sender is in the empty position and 68 ohms when it is full, on the 1 I tested.I am also going to list just the seal for these in another listing for those that have a working sender and a dead rubber seal that leaks. The seals I have listed now are made of cork. I do have the gauge itself listed and the vibrator if you have need. I do combine items for shipping.
