These are easily to install as they are over sized to the window opening, on the back side they are custom beveled (see photos) to fit the round window opening edge andthey are pre-drilled for 1/8" alum pop rivets (not included) in the flat area to fit VERY flush mounted!
These are made to order (plan ahead) so you get the fresh PC material instead of one sitting on the shelf the last year....
If you have all the stock front sheet metal, installing these is so easy....even your Kissin' cousin can do it! If you are running a fiberglass one piece front end or not using the steel fenders (or the small back section of them...), you will need to fab some "Z" channels (as shown in the pictures) for mounting & to prevent any fire or fumes getting into the driver's compartment.
I also draw lines on the inside for you to (after laying & taping it on the car, drilling the 1/8" holes, removing the window, cleaning the shavings off,...) to cut off the outer border to paint it black (Krylon Fusion Plastic paint works best and you can't add too much paint here as you are painting the inside) for a professional finish and quality looking car!
Open any Hot VW's mag and look for any drag car that has riveted in windows...95% are ones that I made in the last +30 years....
