Our 306 Performance Short Block is designed for boosted applications looking for a strong piston and rod setup, but still utilizing the roller block and under 600hp at the crank (550 supercharged due to power to turn the supercharger). The oem rods with arp bolts are stronger than the block used in this application, so due to this fact we always recommend using a budget type 5140 I beam or factory rods with arp bolts in oem blocks. Block: Ourblocksarehandpickedthen thermal cleaned, stress relieved, Magna Fluxed, threads are chased, mains are checked and corrected, and the decks are squared and equalized. The block is then precision bored and torque plate honed to proper finish. Finally freeze plugs and cam bearings are then installed. Take a look below at all our short block options.
