This set of grille inserts will not directly fit any special editions that already have inserts,
such as the 75th Anniversary Edition. There are also some 2016/2017 models that plug in
the grill, but most models for Wranglers have an open 7-slot grill. You must delete them
before you can put them in.
Tops are now free. The bottom is held in place by spring clips along the entire bottom.
Start on one side and pull with both hands.
Installation Tip: Pop out the upper grille latch so you can access the grille from behind.
Then press, twist and operate the grill and insert until each clip is fully engaged. For those new
models ofWrangler grille removal is easy and can be learned as quickly as possible (since it's the only wayto get the lights). 6 black "buttons" along the top of the grill/radiator area. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to pop the centers of them. Then pull out the remaining extension (outside) of the
extension clip.
