This device replaces the barometric pressure sensor to provide a smoother and more efficient running engine. Don\'t be fooled by others with claims of reprogramming ECM with device on this line as it is only used for reading barometric pressure. Our device simply provides constant value to ECM that causes ECM to shut EGR valves,causing no exhaust gas recirculation, same as if you where to drive in high altitude and barometric sensor would then have same value as our device causing EGR to also shut off. This device will most always improve performance slightly and no more stutter on acceleration. Most of the time you may see better mileage and feel more power, this can not be guaranteed tho as this relies on the turbo and related parts to be in very good working order . It will not harm engine in anyway. It should only be used long term in off road use due to exhaust recirculation from EGR valve being disabled, if used in over the road application truck may or may not pass emissions testing.
