DC Sports THC4405 Ceramic Headers 4-2-1 One Piece
DC Sports header systems are precision-bent on our CNC mandrel benders using data acquired from our non-contact digitizing scanner. Our flanges are CNC machined we machine-grind the flange mating surface to ensure a leak-free seal and use a robotic welder to attach the flange to the header pipes. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing process ensures superior quality and a perfect fit with every header system we make.
DC Sports Ceramic headers are mild steel with a proprietary temperature and corrosion-resistant ceramic coating. Once our mild-steel systems are completed in manufacturing they are subjected to a thermal degrease and a preliminary sandblast to prepare the header s surface for coating adhesion. Every ceramic-coated system is hand-painted to ensure an even application of coating. After verifying the proper thickness of the coating the header is cured for proper bonding of the ceramic coating and then fine-blasted for a high-luster finish.

4 into 2 into 1 Header One-Piece (4-2-1)
DC Sports 4-2-1 one-piece header systems deliver incredible low- to mid-range power gains while improving ground clearance and reducing weight by eliminating the middle flanges. Our 4-2-1 one-piece headers are much lighter than stock systems and are on average two-pounds lighter than our two-piece systems. We dyno test them against the competition and spend the extra time in R&D to ensure the best fitment for your vehicle. 4 into 2 into 1 Header Two-Piece (4-2-1)
DC Sports 4-2-1 two-piece header systems deliver the same performance as our one-piece systems in a two piece design that eases installation. Our 4-2-1 two-piece header was rated Best of the Test in peak power peak torque and average power gain by Sport Compact Car magazine. All of our 4-2-1 two-piece headers are dyno tuned and tested against the competition to outperform all comparable header systems. 4-2-1 design emphasizes low and mid-range power for street/strip applications.
3 into 1 Header (3-1)
The increase of V6 applications in the sport compact market provided an opportunity to design V-engine headers and we responded with our 3-into-1 header designs. You will not find a 3-into-1 header system that fits as perfectly or performs as well as DC Sports offerings. We dyno test them to ensure they outperform all comparable header systems on the market.

DC Sports was founded by Darrell and Darrick Contreras as a high quality designer and manufacturer of performance products to address the developing Sport Compact Market. In 1987 American Honda commissioned DC Sports to develop a header for their SCCA prepped CRX s and the result cumulated was our first 4 into 1 header design. It was so well received that Honda requested headers for other applications. That system is the one that started it all ( HHC5002)
The Sport Compact Market was originally based almost entirely on the air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle but beginning in the 1970s and into the 1980s the Sport Compact Market was primarily based on popular Japanese small cars that were great cars to begin with but also excellent platforms for various tuning modifications.
Throughout the 1990s DC Sports was synonymous with Honda and Acura performance and expanded its product line to include Street-Legal and Competition Headers Exhaust Systems Strut Tower Braces Short Shifters and other accessories. DC Sports developed unique designs that performed better and therefore became the brand of choice for serious Honda and Acura enthusiasts. DC Sports has always been first and foremost about performance but there is also no other product that has the DC Sports look feel and quality.
In 2004 DC Sports was purchased by Advanced Engine Management ( AEM) a leading manufacturer of performance parts specializing in air induction and electronics for the Sport Compact and Truck/ SUV Markets. AEM continued the strong DC Sports tradition of producing the very best exhaust products and developed an even stronger connection to motorsports for the brand.
Pilot Automotive entered the picture in 2007 when it purchased the aftermarket assets and intellectual property of DC Sports from AEM. Pilot is one of the largest accessory and performance product suppliers to both the automotive and truck markets. Pilot owns a number of well known brands such as Pilot Red Line APC
