This heavy duty gear kit will fortify the main weakness in your headlight motor which is the gear assembly. You will likely never have to repair a stripped or broken gear ever again. If the headlight motor spins but does not lift the headlight or runs on with a clunking noise after it has opened or closed then this kit is what you need.
This kit includes a NEW high qualityCNC machined hard anodized aluminumgear. These aluminum gears are just as strong and durable as the brass gears but are half the weight and a little better price.
The gear kit also includes 3 new precision machined Delrin torque pins. These torque pins are the best you can buy because they are precision machined +/- .001\" for even torque spread around the entire gear.
Most headlight motors fail because of the OEM torque pins failing. Cheap hand made replacement torque pins which are incorrectly or inconsistently sized are most often the reason for damaged/broken gears. If you need a kit with a side cover gasket and OEM grease for the gear then please see my other listings. I highly recommend that you consider my listing which includes the correct gear grease for this application.
