CHROME! CHROME! CHROME! The shifter Hurst never made but should have - so Core Shifters did! It has NOTHING in common with the Hurst Billet Plus Corvette shifters that everyone know. This is a custom shifter engineered with (unrelated) Hurst components to give you the look and performance you really want in an aftermarket shifter. With 30% throw reduction it yields the ideal balance of effort and throw, unlike so many others that are just too aggressive for most people. Further, thisdesign does notadd excessive force viabias springs; instead the low-friction pivotleverages theOE detent springs,enhancing the 2-3 shift while minimizing the effort to enter reverse and the 5-6 gate. (Of course the transmission\'s reverse lockout solenoid is still active). Unlike the rest, this shifter base is sized fora tight seal around the factory closeout boot without modification. Core Shifters EXCLUSIVE!! This is a custom short throw shifter with a Core Shifters base that contains a readily available Hurst \"Billet/Plus 2\" component set (supplied by Hurst) inside a custom housing (not produced by Hurst, but 100% made in USA). It includes a Hurst chrome stick and knob, along with a boot grommet, base gasket, and installation instructions. On all models, the factory leather console boot attaches to the supplied boot support grommet (without modification), for a professional, finished look. On 2005-2007, the leather console boot (elastic top) simply snaps into the grommet groove. On 2008-2013, the chrome trim ring is removed (is it held from underneath by an o-ring) and the boot is fastened directly to the grommet with the stock o-ring. Throw reductionis 30% (most aftermarket Corvette shifters are too aggressive - this one is ideal!).

This shifter uses the stock shifter mounting bolts. If you presently have an aftermarket shifter and do not have the stock mounting bolts, please request bolts with payment. Otherwise, this kit comes with everything else needed for installation (beyond simple tools).

STICK INFO: Hurst # 538-7201, chrome plated steel, 6\" tall, bends 1/2\" rearward. 3/8\"-16 knob threads. All Hurst sticks have 3/8\" holes spaced apart 7/8\" on center. Stick is also sold alone in my other listings (not compatible any other C5 or C6 Corvette shifter).
KNOB INFO: Hurst # 163-0081, a molded replacement knob (OE on many Hurst kits) with 6 speed pattern on top and \"Hurst\" on sides as shown. 1 7/8\" diameter with 3/8\"-16 threaded brass insert, jam nut included. Engraved knob w/ plain sides (ie 163-0040) also available by request.
