Failure tosupply any requested paperwork will determine the item “un-warrantable”
NOT COVERED: Enginespurchased may possibly include extra parts and accessories that were notremoved from the assembly at time of removal from vehicle. If anything was left on the engine assemblythese parts are As-Is with no return/warranty applicable for those parts. (ex: alternator, compressors, pumps,switches, sensors, manifolds (intake or exhaust) , turbos, superchargers,belts, timing belts, timing chains, hoses, ignition parts, fuel injectionparts) Your policy is for the engine itselfthat you purchased. Warranty/Return policies on engines DO NOT include anylabor, diagnostics, towing or any other inconvenience bills (rentals cars, etc.)
TRANSMISSION:
COVERED: TransmissionWarranty only covers manufacturing defect.Manufacturer defects in case, bell housing, or hard part internals notmentioned in our policy. ANYMODIFICATIONS to transmission voids all return and warranty policies. Hagen Parts Co. has the right ask and begiven all necessary paperwork and invoices from the customer to determine eligibilityof item being questioned. Failure tosupply any requested paperwork will determine the item “un-warrantable”
NOT COVERED: Buyer responsibilityto replace transmission cooler assembly, flush cooler lines, properly fill withOEM fluid, and Replace all components on exterior (switches, sensors, andsolenoids, Gaskets and seals, Torque Converter.Some transmission have an internal “TCM” computer. You may need to switch or program this. “TCM” transmission computer must be reset byOEM scan tool and all codes removed. External Transmission modules will alsoneed to reset, and possibly reprogrammed by OEM scan tool. Transfer cases and optionalextension housings not included with transmission. Warranty/Return Policies on transmissions DONOT include labor, diagnostics, towing or any other inconvenience bills (rentalcars, etc.)
ENGINEWARRANTY LIST: Failure to complete/follow any step will void any andall warranties and return policies.
- Have failure professionally diagnosed and document on legal invoice. Repairs if necessary
- ALL work must be done at an ASE accredited, State licensed, and full insured facility
- Make sure this engine is the same as your application’s existing
- Reset/Clear all Diagnostic Trouble codes before replacement
- Swap the oil pan and pick up tube after professional inspection
- Full inspection of seals and gaskets. Replace Front and rear main seals, valve covers and oil pan gaskets with OEM correct parts
- New Thermostat and Gaskets must be installed. IF HEAT TAB is melted or removed warranty will be instantly voided.
- Replace timing belt/ chain
- Removed all plugs and covers from shipping
- Replace water pump and gaskets
- Replace spark plugs and ignition wires
- Exchange the flywheel and install new bolts
- Swap attached accessories to ensure proper fitment (manifolds, mounts, sensors)
- Disable fuel/ignition before attempting to start engine. This will allow the oil to prime as indicated by the manufacturer.
- Replace following: Engine oil, engine oil filter, fuel filter, coolant (anti-freeze)
- Drain excess oil and coolant from exhaust system.
- If equipped with an engine oil cooler the radiator or external cooler must be replaced.
- Insure the cooling system is flushed and functioning properly.
TRANSMISSION WARRANTY LIST: Failure tocomplete/follow any step will void any and all warranties and return policies.
- ALL work must be done at an ASE accredited, State licensed, and full insured facility
- Diagnostic trouble codes must be cleared prior to install
- Make sure this transmission is the same as your application
- Drop oil pan and replace filter
- Remove torque converter hold down from shipping
- Torque converters are not covered, so if you wish install a new one at this time.
- Replace front seal with proper tool
- Install properly the torque converter. If not full seated will cause damage
- Swap sensors from old unit as needed
- Transmission cooler must be replaced
- Transmission cooler lines must be flushed with a machine that generates a flush code with GPM (Gallons Per Minute) and a flush code
- Removed all plugs from shipping
- Fill the transmission with the OEM fluid and fill as manufacturer specifies
- Make sure the transmission is properly filled
- Transmission Adapts (shift points) must be relearned after install. DO NOT DRIVE until this is done. You may need to take to dealer for this.
