Installation instructions:
1. Open packaging and remove fuel door cover.
2. It’s always a good idea to test fit the coverand determine how you will lay it on once the tap is attached.
3. Peel strips of 3M adhesive from backing andplace on the back side between the rivets.
4. Clean fuel door on your vehicle with an alcoholbased cleaner that leaves no residue.
5. Rubbing alcohol or non- streaking Windex willalso work.
6. Make sure the rag you are using is clean and isnot contaminated with oil or any residue! I prefer to use a freshmicrofiber shop towel when doing this. Paper towels should not be usedbecause it can scratch the paint.
7. Once the door surface is clean then you canpeel the remainder of the protection from the tabs of adhesive, make sure youalign the cover before pressing down. I like to center it hovering overthe fuel door and then attach one side aligning the rolled edge of the coveragainst the hinge side and then lay it over to the right pressing firmly...onceattached it is very hard to remove it.
8. It is best to do this on a warm day or in awarm garage. Avoid trying to attach it at temperatures below 60 degreeswithout using a hair drier or heat gun to warm the surface of the door first.
