1996-2002 BMW Z3 and M Roadster convertible too made in the USA using the original patterns and specifications to the original vehicle. This is a non-original material for the Z3, but still a three-ply composite and premium quality product. The key differences are that the exterior is a square weave instead of a twill weave and the inside is a plain cotton lining instead of the dobby (criss-cross) lining.
BMW TECHNICAL REDESIGNThis convertible top incorporates the 1998 BMW technical redesign to address some deficiencies in earlier models. The three improvements include:
- adding relief pockets in the quarter panels
- adding a stiffener inside above the window, and
- adding elastic straps above window to support the tension straps.
These improvements fit all model years of the Z3 and M Roadster.
