This is a fully restored set of wheels that is spectacular!. These are unique because they arepowdercoated with agraphite color(same as BBS Titanium color) making them very special, in addition to being polished.
- Factory BMW E39 530 MTech wheels
- BBS part #RS740
- Size = 17x8.
- Offset = 20mm.
- Lug spacing is 5 on 120mm.
- Center bore =74.1 mm (For E28, E24, E32, and E30 M3, hubcentric spacers are recommended)
- Fully Restored.
- This included professionally trueing a minor flat spot (minor bend)on one wheel and repairing some curb rash onone lip, This area was welded to fill in the curb rash. Residual welding stain is shown the lip of wheel #4 (approx 1x0.5\"). You pretty much have to look for it to find it.
- The outer lips were then polished to a mirror finish and the inner barrel was polished using high speed polishers and the correct compounds.
- The center sections were chemically stripped and then lightly media blasted prior to power-coating themwith Silver GrayMetallic high end resin followed by Crystal Clearclear powdercoat. The critical wheel mounting surface was not coated so the wheels will mount metal to metal as they should. The lug mounting hole 60 degree seats were reamed out so there is the same type of metal to metal contact.
- The wheels were then reassembled using the original hardware (Titanium bolts) that wascleaned up, tightening each threaded BBS bolt to 18 ft-lbs. Each bolt was installed usingsome thread locking compound as an additional measure to insure the bolts to not vibrate loose.
- What you end up with is a properly restored and assembled set of wheels. I have included at least one photo of each wheel to see the quality of the refinish job. Note the powdercoat looks wet and has minimal orange-peal finish, indicating a proper powdercoat job.
- I have spun eachwheel on a balancer and verified that it is 100% trued and straight.
- Includesbrand newBMW center chips with new Roundel emblems ($60 value).

These wheels came stock on the\'03 E39 530 M package cars and routinely sell for well over $700 on ebay for excellent used examples, and these are far nicer than any used wheel you will see. Theseare favorite upgrade wheels older 5-lug BMWs such asE28 and E34 5-series, E24 6 series, and all the M cars (M3, M5, and M6). Because the offset is 20mm, they should fit just about any 5-lug BMW made prior to 2002 (Except E36 and E46 models). If installed on an older car with a 72.56 mm center bore, hubcentric rings are recommended, and I stock them for $20/4.
