If you never changed the linkage armsand one of them is broken, probably in another it will break very quickly, becauseboth have been subjected to the same conditions.
We recommend replacing both parts atthe same time and avoid future problems.
The Difference is in the workmanship and the Material Used:
These parts are made of DELRIN (an engineering polymer used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability) used in industries for automobiles, planes, boats, aerospace, etc. It is a common replacement for metal in many applications such as gears, pulleys, impellers, etc.
Able to withstand 9,000psitensile strength and3,500psi compressive strength, it is more than 350 times the working force that have towithstand in the engineBeAdvised: There are metal link arms on the market, not originally designed forthis use, which will damage other parts of the system and will cost you more inthe long run. Metal link arms at lower price points are not treated/polishedproperly which causes them to corrode the ball joints to which they attach andwill end up causing you to buy an entire new kit.
Themechanism where link arms operate is subject to high temperatures andcontinuous movement. These conditions will quickly wear-off any lubricationwhich will cause the link arm to act as a file and will quickly erode the balljoint to which the link arm is attached.
Due tothe wear of the metal, the ball joint will shrink in size, causing the link armto fall out. After the ball joint has worn down because of the metal, your onlyoption will be to buy a whole new kit; including the diaphragm, pivot lever andlink arm, which the manufacturer sells for more than $400.

The installation is fast and easy, simply remove the damaged part (you may need a screwdriver or pliers) and snap the end links of the new part onto the actuators.
