Acommon problem with the 2008-2011 Mopar/VW minivans.
Theplastic Y fitting which sits directly over the hot exhaust becomes brittle and leaks, well before it is recommended to check and replace the hoses.
Until now the only way to fix this was to replace the whole hose assembly, the factory part is close to $200.00 !
Now you can replace the leaking plastic fitting with an ALUMINUM alternative, with our
TIGWELDED ALUMINUM TUBE Y repair kit.
Using hardware store fittings such as copper or brass may be cheaper in the short term, but dissimilar metals increase the chance ofgalvanic corrosion and possible damage to your expensive aluminum radiator, very expensive under vehicle tubing and very, VERY expensiveheater cores. Aluminum isthe same metal as your radiator,heater coreand under vehicle tubing.
Everything you need to get back on the road is included, all you need are a screwdriver, pliers anda 99¢ storebox cutter to install this.
Installation is usually less than 15 minutes.
Cut out the leaking plastic Y after the factory molded clamps,
slip the new Y in its place,
install theclamps,

This item is manufactured in the USA specifically for the2008-2010 Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan or VWRoutan, from TIG welded 6061 T6 aluminum tubing.
We\'ve verifiedthat the plastic Y assembly has been used in the 2008-2010 MOPAR and VW line with the 3.3l, 3.8l and 4.0 with the rear heat option,but there have been questions of whetheror not this will workwith the 3.6 liter engine. As far as we can tell, the 2011 and up 3.6 SXTuses an assembly # 05058729xx which shows twoY splitters. So the short answer isplease check verify it is in yourheater hose assembly prior to purchasing.

The 2009-2010 3.5 liter Journey has a plastic Y in the hose assembly at the firewall (MOPAR part 0505855AD) and we\'ve sold a few to journey owners, they\'veadvisedthat itdoesin fact work well. As far as other years and engines, some appear to have TEE fittings (which we sell in pairs in another listing) please check the actual assembly to verify.
